Carrus’ highly trained healthcare professional team includes patient–centered professionals who provide comprehensive, compassionate, and individualized high-quality healthcare. An ICU Intensivist physician leads our team. Additional specialists include: consulting physicians, allied health professionals, licensed nursing staff, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, case managers, social workers, pharmacists, registered dieticians, radiology technicians, wound care specialist, laboratory technicians, clergy, and a continuous-quality improvement staff.

Intensive Critical Care

Our ICU level of care is often the next step, providing transitional services to achieve the greatest recovery possible for every patient. Medical services and conditions that may require intensive critical care include:

  • Continued ICU stay requiring specialized care
  • Pulmonary Care (Ventilator, BIPAP, Heated High Flow)
  • Sepsis or other infections
  • Multiple affected organs (heart, kidney, lungs, brain, intestines)
  • Post–operative complications
  • Cardiac care (CABG, CHF, MI, HTN)

Pulmonary Management/Ventilator Weaning

When you require best for ventilator weaning, our care team provides exceptional respiratory care. Carrus maintains a 97% to 100% monthly wean rate. Our goal is for you to return to your previous functional level. Board certified pulmonologists lead our clinical and respiratory care teams to support you on your road to recovery. Medical services and conditions that may require pulmonary management/ventilator weaning include:

  • Mechanical ventilator weaning and management

Cardiac Care and Recovery

Carrus’ compassionate care team is here to help you and your family in treating heart disease and post-op cardiac complications. It is Carrus’ goal to provide you and your family with quality outcomes so that you may return home with loved ones. Medical services and conditions that may require cardiac care and recovery weaning include:

  • Congestive heart failure

Neurological/Post Trauma

Renal Insufficiency/Renal Failure

Carrus’ staff demonstrates compassion while delivering high quality and clinical excellence. Our renal program is designed to provide highly effective, evidence-based intervention that focuses on treatment of renal insufficiency or failure. Additionally, patients receive thorough education about their renal disease and any co–existing conditions. Our experience allows us to treat your needs by providing state-of-the-art care. We offer medication management as well as in-house dialysis. Our goal is to get you back to doing what you love most. Medical services and conditions that may require renal insufficiency/renal failure include:

  • Medication treatment for renal insufficiency and recovery
  • Acute renal disease with initiation of hemodialysis
  • End-stage renal disease with dialysis support
  • Peritoneal dialysis
  • Disease education to minimize risk of future complications
IV Antibiotics/Intravenous Therapy

Carrus creates a warm environment that is beneficial to your healing process. Our medical staff includes board-certified intensivist and Infectious Disease physicians that provide our patients with a personal and tailored treatment plan. Some medically complex conditions require intravenous medication. IV antibiotics are needed for some infectious disease processes and are proven to be the fastest way to deliver medication through the body. Additional IV medications for cardiac support, malnutrition and other disease processes may be required for your complete healing.
